Gartner points out the megatrends that will drive digital business

Artificial intelligence (AI), transparent immersive experiences and digital platforms are the three trends that will provide intelligence, create new experiences and provide platforms to help companies connect with new business ecosystems. The Gartner study, which looks at the megatrends that will leverage corporate business and help them survive the digital economy in the next five to ten years, is predicted.

“Those who are in the spotlight on technological innovation, such as business architects, should evaluate these very high-profile skills and technologies as well as the potential impact on their business,” says Mike. According to research director, Walker: “In addition to the commercial impact of great potential, all these trends bring significant perspectives to architecture leaders so they can help senior technology executives respond to the opportunities and threats of the digital business.” This creates signature-ready actionable solutions that deliver diagnostics to drive business decisions. ”

Gartner analysts will uniquely present research on the three megatrends during the Symposium / ITxpo 2017, an event that takes place October 23-26 in Sao Paulo. Gartner estimates that the megatrends will be based on:

Artificial Intelligence Everywhere –  Artificial intelligence technologies will be the most innovative class of technology in the next ten years. This is due to the enormous computational power, virtually infinite availability of data quantities, and unprecedented advances in deep neural networks. All this will enable companies with IA technologies to leverage data to adapt to new situations and solve problems that have not been found previously. Companies seeking growth in this area need to consider technologies such as deep learning (d eep learning ),  deep reinforcement learning, general artificial intelligence (IAG), autonomous vehicles, cognitive computing, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, or drones), conversational user interfaces, taxonomy and business ontology management, machine learning, smart dust ), intelligent robots and intelligent working environment.

Transparent immersive experiences –  Technology will continue to be more and more human-centered, allowing transparency among people, businesses and objects. This relationship tends to be more intertwined as the evolution of technology becomes more adaptive, contextual and fluid between the work environment, the home and the interaction with business and other people. Gartner analysts will present key technologies to consider including 4D printing, augmented reality, computer-brain interface, connected homes, human enhancements, nanotube electronics, virtual reality, and volumetric screens in unconventional formats.

Digital platforms –  Emerging technologies require the revolution of the enabling bases that provide the necessary data volume, advanced computing power and ecosystem support. The transition from compartmentalized technical infrastructure to ecosystem-enabling platforms creates the basis for brand new business models that bridge the gap between human and technology. The main platform solutions that will be discussed at the Gartner event include 5G, digital twin, digital computing, edge computing, blockchain, IoT (Internet of Things) platform, , neuromorphic hardware, quantum computing, serverless PaaS and software-defined security.

“When these themes come together, we can clearly see how human-centered technologies within immersive experiences, such as intelligent work environments, connected homes, augmented reality, virtual reality and the growing computer-brain interface, are becoming the technologies of tip that pull the other trends, “says Walker.

Emerging AI technologies everywhere move quickly within the Hype Cycle. Already deep learning, autonomy and cognitive computing are only now growing, which shows that they are key trainers who create immersive and transparent experiences. Digital platforms grow in Hype Cycle and illustrate the new realities of IT. Quantum computing and Blockchain are positioned for more transformative and significant impacts over the next five to ten years.

“These megatrends illustrate that the more organizations are able to make technology an integral part of employee, partner and customer experiences, the more they can connect their ecosystems to platforms in new and dynamic ways,” Walker explains.
